Stencil Portrait

As a part of my Acrylic Painting course, we created a stencil portrait. We would first lay down colors of our choice and blend them together using one of the techniques we learned in class. Then, we would add texture with the same colors and stencils. Finally, we would trace a black and white drawing of a person of our choosing and paint it in in black, leaving the white space blank to show our colors.

The assignment asked us to use a pre-existing portrait, but I opted to create my own of the character Angrboda from a video game called God of War: Ragnarok. I found a photo of her and then traced her in a digital drawing program, editing where I saw fit.
