Frankie Paintings

November 20th, 2022, my dog Frankie passed away at the age of 12. We got him and his sister, Sweetie, on my 4th christmas. He was a silly little dog and he was the best. These paintings were my memorial to him. I intended to compile them into a small storybook and give it to my mom, since she was his favorite and also the most affected, but I found it too difficult to create a story. So, they stayed as just little paintings.

Each painting is about 1/6 of a sheet of paper, taking about 2 hours each. Each one came from a memory of Frankie. I reached out to all of my family and asked for their favorite photos of him and then chose the ones that meant the most, that felt like frankie dog.
