Come What May

Come What May is a glass mosaic I created as a part of my advanced stained glass course at FHS. The subject of the mosaic are several candles at different heights, formed with dozens of tiny pieces of glass cut to size and fit together.

The background of the piece is blue, and has the words "come what may" hidden within. I intended for these words to be hard to see, but I think I did it a little too well. I used long, jagged pieces of glass to spell them, and then square and wide pieces for the rest, and hoped that the contrast between shapes would make them visible. While this didn't turn out how I had hoped, I still think the hidden message is meaningful.
