Charcoal Still Life

As a part of my CE Drawing course, we had to create a still life out of objects special to us and a mix of props provided by the teacher. We took photos of the still life and then recreated it in black and white on grey paper using charcoal pencils

My still life contained a book I was reading, my headphones, a piece of jewelry I got on a roadtrip, my latest embroidery project, my dad's mug that I broke, and my first pride flag. I also used the teacher's jar, apple, and grapes in the photo to give it more.

For my first time working with charcoal outside of small experiments with my own supplies, I think I did really well.
