Profile Photo Edit

I edited a photo of myself to use as my profile photo on professional sites.

the photo was taken by a friend of mine, Krow Latham. They then emailed it to me and I edited it to look nicer. I adjusted colors and exposure and then removed the background. I added a simple texture of gold to a circle behind my head to mimic a halo, as I love biblical imagery. I chose green for my background because I love green, predominantly earthy greens like those.

to remove the background I simply used Photoshop's tool to do so. I adjusted colors using adjustment layers. then I made the background with 3 layers, the green layer that was a shape with a gradient applied, a circle layer, and a golden texture layer clipped onto the circle.
