Catalyst Rainbow T-shirt Design

This is a design I created for the Catalyst Center school store, a project that I am leading.

I chose to use a cursive font for this because it was the most readable while being visually interesting. I chose rainbow because it was a simple design that works well with any color because of its multicolored nature.

To create this, I first found a font I liked, then sketched the individual letters together on paper using the font as a guide. Then I imported it into illustrator and traced my sketch. To create the layers, I copy and pasted the first layer and colored it red. Then I transformed it down and to the right, editing the shape so it fits sharply against the original layer. Then I copy and pasted that red layer 5 times and colored it the rest of the colors, transforming them down and to the right to create a 3D look.
